The first fully animatronic feature film The
Dark Crystal is an award-winning classic fantasy-adventure tale of good and
evil, brimming with magic, excitement and wonder. Based on the drawings of
conceptual artist Brian Froud, The Dark Crystal was directed by Jim Henson and
Frank Oz.
A thousand years ago, the Dark Crystal which
stood at the balance between good and evil was cracked and two new races came
into existence – the cruel Skesis and the peaceful Mystics. Two young
gelflings, Jen and Kira, set out on a heroic race against time and encountering
many strange creatures and challenges to replace the missing shard from the
Crystal in order to restore harmony and unity to their world.
