European Cut Of The Romero
Classic
In 1979, noted Italian master of horror Dario Argento (Suspiria,
Tenebre) presented Zombi to
European audiences - his re-edited version of George A. Romero's Dawn Of
The Dead, the masterpiece
that Roger Ebert called "one of the best
and brilliantly
crafted horror films ever made."
Argento's vision delivers a
radically different movie than Romero's original cut, removing the film's
'American' humor to
make it more of an intense action shocker and replacing
the 'muzak'
soundtrack with a
savage score by legendary
rock band Goblin (Suspiria, Deep Red). This deluxe edition of
Zombi - now available for
the first
time ever in
America as a
single disc - is presented in
head-blasting 5.1 Dolby Surround and packed
with a
flesh-ripping array of international extras.
